Reliefs

My journey into "Birdworks" and working with other critters started about twenty years ago. A once painful moment sitting in a New Mexico parking lot with my dying Mother, gauged my interest in the slowing down and observation of some grackles. She said, "Look at those birds. They are just so lovely. Here, give them my hamburger bun and let's just watch them." Flying birds, owls, and both common and unusual animal forms have been in my art repertoire for some time. Their endless forms speak of intriguing personality, shape, and movements. And I find they represent a commentary on life and living, to which brings humor and a sense of play to the onlooker.
