Drawing In Color: Interpreting the Collection with Helene Farrar at the Farnsworth Museum

First day Feb 26 @ 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Join us for a four-week art workshop exploring materials and processes as we look to the Farnsworth Art Museum Collection for inspiration. Each week will feature a different, playful opportunity to respond to visual “notes” from on-site visits to the museum. We will use collage, build a drawing repertoire, work on paper, paint using water media, dig deeper into color, and experiment with text as texture. Students will enjoy this high energy and unique opportunity to see and make art! 

Each session with give students an exploration of media and a dynamic understanding of how to approach and respond to sources of inspiration.
